We’re constantly connected scrolling, liking, and sharing. But in that connection, we often lose connection with ourselves.
I decided to take a week off from social media no Instagram, no Facebook, no TikTok and the results were eye-opening.
At first, it was difficult. I kept reaching for my phone, out of pure habit. But within a day or two, something shifted.
I started noticing little things again — the way sunlight hit my window, how quiet mornings really sound. I cooked without distractions, read books I’d been ignoring, and slept better.
Most importantly, I realized how much social media shapes our thoughts. Without it, my mind felt lighter and more focused.
